Hello! We're Ed and Patty Gillespie, and we raise Dark Golden Retrievers on our property in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, just 30 minutes from Auburn CA (off Hwy 80) or 45 minutes from Placerville (off Hwy 50).

If you have never owned a Golden Retriever, you are in for a treat. Goldens are so very loving and faithful - they really are the perfect companion and family dog!

Roux, our dam, is AKC registered, and OFA certified for heart, hips and elbows. She has been DNA cleared for any breeding issues.

** All the pups from our July 2025 litter have found new loving homes. We expect a new litter born toward the end of July 2026. They will be ready for new homes eight weeks later.

If you would like us to hold a pup for you, we will accept non refundable deposits after the first of the year 2026. Please reach out if you are interested. Purchase price is $3,000.00.

They're curious, social, playful, and beautiful! As they are here with their mama, they get lots of play time (and some pool time) with her and learn a lot from her.

Before they find new homes, all our pups will have had their veterinarian check, first vaccine and deworming.

Your purchase of one of our pups includes a Bill of Sale, an Information Sheet on your puppy, which includes their vaccine info, a sample of the food they are currently on, as well as an AKC litter certificate, AKC Registration Paper for Proof of Breed and their very own teddy bear.

The dam, sire and litter are all AKC registered. Your purchase will include an application to register your puppy with AKC, if you wish to. We offer limited registration (*we do not offer breeding rights).
